About
Centre for Strategic Leadership
Centre for Strategic Leadership
Welcome to the CSL
The Centre for Strategic Leadership (CSL) at Branksome Hall was founded on the belief that a school is the sum total of the talent of its people and that leadership skills can be intentionally developed. The first centre of its kind at a JK-Grade 12 school in Canada, the CSL provides Branksome employees with a range of leadership programs to assist them in identifying their path to personal and professional leadership development.
Inspired by the school’s strategic priority to invest in the growth, development and retention of our employees, the CSL takes a strength-based approach and uses values-driven practices to uplift teams and build school-wide leadership capacity. The CSL builds alignment with, and accountability for, the delivery of the school’s mission, strategy and its commitment to social-emotional learning (SEL) and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Innovation.
What the CSL Offers Branksome Employees
CSL opportunities for Branksome employees include:
Individual coaching and mentoring
Facilitated workshops designed and delivered to specific teams to develop skills and build their leadership toolkits
Lunchtime Leadership Conversations
The CSL works with the Senior leadership Team to optimize organizational growth and support school-wide succession planning.
“The Arts team has a lot of growth coming and will really be relying on the CSL to help us with visioning how we want to innovate and where we want to go.”
We wish to acknowledge this land on which Branksome operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and go to school on this land.*
*The Land Acknowledgement may evolve as we honour our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation in partnership with Indigenous communities.
