How to Apply - Boarding

List of 5 items.

  • Step 1: Create Your Account and Submit Application

Create an account on the Portal to allow you to complete and submit your application, including payment of the application fee.
  • Step 2: Application Checklist

Wait for the application to be processed (1-2 business days). Once processed, a checklist will be assigned to your account, where you will then have the ability to upload/complete required documents including:

    • Birth certificate and/or passport
    • Relevant report cards
    • Mandatory introduction video
      • Boarding applicants are required to submit a brief two-minute video. This is an opportunity for the applicant to introduce themselves and allow the Admissions Team to learn more about them.
    • English and Math Teacher Recommendation Forms
  • Step 3: Application Update, Invitation to Continue with the Admissions Process

Following a comprehensive review of the application, including school reports, teacher recommendations and video, the Admissions Office will directly contact selected applicants to schedule their interview and assessment. All applicants will receive an update from the Admissions Office on their application, however not every applicant will be invited for an interview.
  • Step 4: Interview and Assessment for Select Applicants

See below for the grade-specific admission requirement details. If you are invited to attend an interview, it will begin with questions for the applicant, followed by a discussion with the parents/guardians. No preparation is required for the interview, as this is an opportunity for us to connect and get to know prospective students and their families.
  • Step 5: Admissions Decision

Applicants who have completed the interview will be informed of their admissions decision.

Guardian Requirement

Boarding students whose parents do not currently reside in Toronto are required to have a legal custodian arrangement in place while attending Branksome Hall. If you do not have someone local who can serve as legal custodian, Branksome Hall can suggest organizations for you to contact regarding this requirement.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We wish to acknowledge this land on which Branksome operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and go to school on this land.*

*The Land Acknowledgement may evolve as we honour our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation in partnership with Indigenous communities.

Setting the new standard for girls' education everywhere takes collective action. From all of us.
