Innovation in Action: Google Headquarters (Dec. 2)
Google headquarters was the place to be as alum and parent Meghan BUSH Jansen'04, Google’s AI sales lead, hosted an event that included a lively panel discussion about AI, the future of technology and how the Karen L. Jurjevich Innovation Centre and Studio Theatre will prepare our daughters for this exciting world of work.
Co-organizer alum and parent Shannon LEWIS'96 joined keynote speaker Laura Pearce, Head of Marketing, Google Canada, and fellow panelists: Andrea Bielecki, parent and former CEO and President, NVIVO Communications Inc.; alum Amyna ISMAIL'23, second year student in the Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Science program at the University of Toronto; Kevin Goodridge, Chief Innovation Officer, Branksome Hall; Mona Malone, Chief Human Resources Officer and Head of People & Culture for BMO Financial Group, Chair of the Board, Branksome Hall; and Grace McCallum.
We wish to acknowledge this land on which Branksome operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and go to school on this land.*
*The Land Acknowledgement may evolve as we honour our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation in partnership with Indigenous communities.
