Kurankye Sekyi-Otu

Kurankye Sekyi-Otu has enjoyed a 30-year career spanning business development, marketing and executive leadership within asset management and capital markets organizations. Currently, Kurankye is the Founder & CEO of Capoeira Partners, a strategic advisory firm for founder-led alternative asset managers looking to transform and accelerate their business.

Previously, Kurankye was the Chief Strategy Officer and a member of the executive leadership for Polar Asset Management Partners, responsible for the global distribution strategy, marketing, and the implementation of the firm’s strategic business initiatives. Prior to Polar, Kurankye held several business development and marketing roles at firms including Mackenzie Investments and CIBC Capital Markets.

Kurankye graduated from York University with a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics and holds the CFA and ICD.D designations.

He joined the Branksome Hall Board of Governors in 2021. Kurankye is also a Board Member of the United Way Greater Toronto and a Board Member for Capitalize for Kids.

Kurankye is the father of a current Branksome Hall student.
