Meet Samantha Schachter

International Impact

With plans to study international law and tackle racial and gender inequities and disparities in the legal system, Samantha is first immersing herself in global business.

This fall, she’ll enter the prestigious World Bachelor in Business, a unique program where she’ll study business management at USC Marshall School of Business in Los Angeles, Bocconi University in Milan and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, earning a Bachelor’s degree in business from all three institutions.

“I am excited to meet new people, learn new languages, explore new cultures and study something I love, while having the opportunity to travel and gain real-life experiences,” she says.

As the only student from Canada in her cohort of 50, she is looking forward to a truly global experience—and she’s thankful for the many ways her Branksome Hall experience helped her prepare.

From the global mindedness embedded in the IB curriculum, to her experience in debate, public speaking and problem solving through Model UN conferences, as plenary head of the World Affairs Conference and Spirit Week planning chair—she has gained crucial skills, experiences and a global perspective.

She is excited to pursue international consulting opportunities through the World Bachelor in Business program, including potential consulting work with a non-profit organization in South America.

As she sets out to deepen her business expertise and build new international connections, she plans to maintain the lifelong friendships she developed at Branksome Hall.
LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We wish to acknowledge this land on which Branksome operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and go to school on this land.*

*The Land Acknowledgement may evolve as we honour our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation in partnership with Indigenous communities.

Setting the new standard for girls' education everywhere takes collective action. From all of us.
