Branksome Hall Athletes Sign with Top U.S. Universities for Rowing
Two athletes from Branksome Hall have officially committed to continue their rowing careers at two of the United States' most prestigious universities.
National Signing Day, which took place this year on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, marks the start of an official signing period for high school student-athletes and is a highly anticipated day for those committing to NCAA Division I and Division II programs. On this day, student-athletes sign either a National Letter of Intent (NLI) or an Athletic Aid Agreement, depending on the program.
For Sabrina and Jaime, National Signing Day was an opportunity to make their university commitments official. Sabrina, a coxswain, has been recruited to the Brown University Women’s Crew Program and is committed to the application process at Brown. Sabrina has coxed for Team Canada for the last two years, attending CanAmMex in 2023 and the World Rowing Championships in 2024.
Jaime has been recruited to Duke University’s Rowing Program and is committed to the application process at Duke. Jaime represented Canada for the first time at the CanAmMex Regatta in August 2024.
"These two athletes have shown extraordinary dedication to their training," said Branksome Hall Rowing Coach Scott Fleming. "We are incredibly proud of their achievements and can’t wait to see them thrive at the next level."
Sabrina and Jaime’s commitment to these programs is a testament to their hard work, perseverance and love for the sport. "Branksome Hall is proud to have played a role in their journey," said Katie Flynn, Branksome Hall Athletics Director. "We look forward to following their successes as they represent Branksome, their families and Canada in their athletic and academic journeys ahead."
The Branksome Hall community celebrates Sabrina’s and Jaime’s accomplishments and offers its congratulations to all student-athletes celebrating a Signing Day milestone today.

We wish to acknowledge this land on which Branksome operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and go to school on this land.*
*The Land Acknowledgement may evolve as we honour our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation in partnership with Indigenous communities.
