After being apart for so long.
I can finally feel the wind on my warm skin,
I can feel the sun kissing my face,
After being numbed by the cold dark for so long.
The ground under my soft feet feels sturdy and welcoming, like home.
I haven't felt at home in so long.
I’ve been away for too long, but I am finally home.
Take a breath, my child, for you have arrived.
No more running, no more hiding, no more searching,
You can finally rest.
Take a breath and let all your worries slip away, let the weight slide off your shoulders.
You have been carrying it for too long.
You made it, you can stop running.
You are home.
