What is the Mini Groovers camp?
This camp is designed for 4–5 year olds who want to explore a variety of forms of movement and sound, and put them together for some groovin’ fun! Campers will learn the foundations of various dance styles and participate in music appreciation. Performance-related arts and crafts will also give them the opportunity to express their creative spirits each day! Mini Groovers is all about fun ways to get moving, enjoy music and will include daily opportunities for outdoor play and camp-style activities, as well as recreational swimming a couple of times per week.
Camp Guide
Dress Code
All campers should be dressed appropriately for an active Camp Program. We recommend running shoes and comfortable clothing that can get dirty. All Mini Campers should bring at least one change of clothes in case of accidents or dirty clothes requiring a change.
Daily Activities
While each camp has a focus, camp-style games and programming will also be incorporated every day, including daily outdoor activities. Please send sunscreen, a hat and water bottle labelled with your camper’s name to camp each day.
Swimming
Mini Campers will have the opportunity to participate in recreational swimming twice per week. Campers should come prepared with a bathing suit and towel on their swim days (a schedule will be sent to registered families). Please note there is no alternative programming available during swim time. All Mini Campers will be required to wear lifejackets (provided by BHDC) while swimming.
Meals
Lunch and a healthy snack are included each day. Please refer to our camp menu for details. You may want to pack extra snacks or alternatives if your camper may not like the lunch or snack options provided.
