Get ready to move!

Branksome Hall is excited to launch Dance at Branksome for kids this fall, a new co-ed dance program led by professional dancer and member of the Toronto Raptors North Side Crew, Manpreet Singh. This eight-week program will take place evenings and weekends at Branksome Hall’s Dance Studio and is open to dancers aged six to 12, grouped by age.

Each age group will participate in three classes per week, exploring a variety of styles, including Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop. Designed to build confidence, coordination and creativity, each session offers students the chance to grow their skills in a fun and supportive environment, whether they’re just starting out or looking to take their dancing to the next level.

$550 for the full eight weeks.

Programs & Schedule

Perfect for young dancers who are just starting out. The Mini program introduces Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop in a fun and supportive environment. With a focus on creativity, coordination and confidence, this class is all about movement exploration and self-expression, and is led by Toronto Raptors North Side Crew member, Manpreet Singh in the Athletics and Wellness Centre Dance Studio.

Classes run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00–6:40 p.m., and Sundays from 10:00–10:40 a.m.

In this energetic class, dancers will build on foundational techniques in Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop, while developing rhythm, strength and flexibility. The Junior Program encourages students to grow their skills and confidence through upbeat routines and supportive instruction from Manpreet Singh, Toronto Raptors North Side Crew Member and longtime Branksome Summer Day Camps contributor.

Classes run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45–7:45 p.m., and Sundays from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Designed for older dancers who are ready to refine their technique and explore new styles. The Senior Program dives deeper into Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop. With more advanced choreography and creative challenges, students will be inspired to push their limits and perform with power and precision in a fun, inclusive space led by Mani.

Classes take place on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 12:15–1:15 p.m. (with a 15-minute break), and Sundays from 12:15–1:15 p.m.

FAQs

This co-ed program is open to both Branksome and non-Branksome students, aged 6 to 12, divided into three age groups:

  • Mini (ages 6–7)
  • Junior (ages 8–9)
  • Senior (ages 10–12)

Students will rotate through Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop each week, giving them a well-rounded and dynamic dance experience.

Classes are led by Manpreet Singh, a professional dancer who is a member of the Toronto Raptors North Side Crew, and who also brings experience from leading Branksome Summer Camps.

Yes! All classes are scheduled after school hours, making it convenient for students to participate without conflicting with their academic schedule.

Comfortable, flexible clothing suitable for movement is recommended. Dance shoes are encouraged but not required.

Not at all! The program is open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced dancers.
