Our Mini STEM camp will explore the worlds of science, tech, engineering and math, the perfect introduction to the basics of these disciplines for our youngest campers!
What is the mini stem camp?
Campers will have the opportunity to imagine, build, experiment, learn, play and explore through science-based lessons built around a hands-on, age-appropriate curriculum. The camp will focus on different activities with real world applications, and also include daily opportunities for outdoor play and camp-style activities, with recreational swimming a couple of times during the week. Please note that not all areas may be covered each week.
Camp Guide
Dress Code
All campers should be dressed appropriately for an active Camp Program. We recommend running shoes and comfortable clothing that can get dirty. All Mini Campers should bring at least one change of clothes in case of accidents or dirty clothes requiring a change.
Daily Activities
While each camp has a focus, camp-style games and programming will also be incorporated every day, including daily outdoor activities. Please send sunscreen, a hat and water bottle labelled with your camper’s name to camp each day.
Swimming
Mini Campers will have the opportunity to participate in recreational swimming twice per week. Campers should come prepared with a bathing suit and towel on their swim days (a schedule will be sent to registered families). Please note there is no alternative programming available during swim time. All Mini Campers will be required to wear lifejackets (provided by BHDC) while swimming.
Meals
Lunch and a healthy snack are included each day. Please refer to our camp menu for details. You may want to pack extra snacks or alternatives if your camper may not like the lunch or snack options provided.
