A Message to the Branksome Community from Mona Malone

A Heartfelt Thank You, A Look Back and A Future Welcomed
I would like to take a moment as your outgoing Chair to express my gratitude and acknowledge this transition with a few comments. To the esteemed Governors of the Board, our dedicated Principal and leadership team, and to everyone in the Branksome community:
My time serving as Chair of the Board has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life. When I began this journey on the board seven years ago, I did so with a deep commitment to Branksome's mission to empower young women. Branksome has an important vision to be the pre-eminent educational community of globally minded learners and leaders. Branksome is a world-leading girls’ school. I saw this first-hand in our Principal search in how our school brand was viewed globally and the quality of talent we attracted, and over the course of being Chair as other schools have reached out for insights, perspectives and advice. There could never be a more important time in education and girls’ education. The bold aspirations of the school create a sense of possibility for our students.
Together, we have accomplished a great deal: Principal succession, the transformative iCAST project, an incredible capital campaign and innovative curriculum evolution. We ignited a spirit in the school and community, and I am so excited about the future and what is possible. These accomplishments belong to the community united by a shared purpose. I want to express my profound gratitude to the Board, Branksome leadership team and community. Your dedication, your willingness to engage in challenging conversations, and your collective wisdom have made our achievements possible.
As I step down, it is comforting to know that Branksome Hall will be in the most capable hands. Please join me in offering the warmest possible welcome to our new Chair of the Board, Daniel Moore. Daniel comes to this role with an exceptional blend of experience and a genuine passion for Branksome's future. His perspective is invaluable, and his commitment to excellence is clear. I am excited to see what the future brings.
Thank you again for the honour of serving as your Chair. I look forward to supporting the school's journey as a devoted member of the Branksome community.
Sincerely,
Mona Malone
