Branksome Hall is Toronto’s only all-years independent International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for girls, offering Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) fosters holistic development and a lifelong love of learning. From Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6, students are challenged to think critically, research deeply and develop globally minded perspectives. The PYP framework evolves with the latest research on brain development and learning.
Primary Years ProgrammeBranksome Hall’s Middle Years Programme (MYP) for Grades 7–10 fosters critical thinking, perspective seeking, creativity, interdisciplinary learning and problem solving, preparing students for future academic success.
In the Full Diploma or IB Select pathways for Grades 11–12, students continue to build independence, refine critical and creative thinking, problem seeking and solving, and are supported every step of the way toward success in universities worldwide.
We take informed and sustainable student-led action, recognizing that no action is sometimes best. Our learning takes place through critical and continuous reflection to become responsible citizens who are inspired to make the world a better place.
Local organizations that need caring volunteers seek out Branksome’s students for a wide range of roles, from volunteering in peer math tutoring to Best Buddies and Horizons.

Students bring ideas to life, seek and solve problems and take risks. Our educators support entrepreneurship through research and our business accelerator program, Noodle. We also drive girls' education forward with projects such as the Karen L. Jurjevich Innovation Centre and Studio Theatre (iCAST).
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) is central to Branksome's IB curriculum, focusing on self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision-making.
