Assessment and Interview Requirements

Available Spaces
Up to 44 openings.

Assessment and Interview Details
Interviews can be scheduled directly by parents/guardians through the Portal once the application checklist is assigned.

Students applying for Grade 7 are asked to prepare a portfolio to present during the interview. This portfolio can be created using any medium that best represents the student and allows the interviewer to learn more about them.

During the interview, students will first present their portfolio (approximately 10 minutes) and answer questions, followed by a discussion with the parents/guardians.

The Grade 7 "All About Me" Portfolio
Components include:

  • A teacher-marked writing sample from Grade 6 – copy to be kept on file.
  • A teacher-marked Mathematics test from Grade 6 – copy to be kept on file.
  • A discussion of a school project from the current or past school year - sample optional, no copy required.
  • A few samples, photos or awards that demonstrate the applicant’s interests and recent accomplishments.

To help the applicant prepare, please refer to the Success Criteria.

As Grade 8 is not an entry year, we do not conduct a full Admissions process until we have confirmed openings. Applications are encouraged should spaces become available. If we move forward with the application, an Admissions member will be in contact to schedule your interview.
