What is Lego Robotics?

Camp Type: STEM

Robotics and LEGO enthusiasts ages eight to 10 will love building and programming their own LEGO robots! Campers will pair up and use cooperative teamwork skills to build a LEGO robot and program using an iPad and the LEGO Boost app. Throughout the week, campers will develop practical STEM skills, foster their creativity and end the week by playing with their creations through challenges, races and mini competitions. In addition to acquiring mechanical engineering concepts, campers will also have the opportunity to participate in daily active outdoor play and camp-style programming. Recreational swimming is also included a few times per week.

Camp Details

Two adults and two young children walk together on a shaded path surrounded by green foliage. The adults wear green shirts and shorts, while the children wear colorful summer clothes. All appear cheerful and engaged.

Dress Code

Dress for an active day.

Wear running shoes and comfortable clothing that can get dirty!

We recommend bringing a change of clothes in case of accidents or situations which require a change of clothes.

A group of children smile and perform dance moves in a brightly lit room with large windows. The focus is on a girl in a gray T-shirt, with other kids and an adult instructor in the background.

Daily Activities

Each camp has a focus and daily activities also include camp-style games and outdoor play.

Bring sunscreen, a hat and a water bottle labelled with your camper’s name.

A swim instructor in a pool gives a high-five to a smiling child wearing goggles and a red flotation device, while other children swim nearby during a swimming lesson.

Swimming

All camps include recreational swimming 2–3 times per week.

Bring a bathing suit and towel on your swim days (a schedule will be sent to registered families).

There is no alternative programming available during swim time.

Children stand in line at a cafeteria, holding trays as a staff member serves food behind a glass counter. Other staff, wearing green shirts, assist in the background. The atmosphere appears busy and organized.

WHY STEM?

Prepare campers for tomorrow while sparking excitement today! STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) promotes innovative thinking, which helps campers become adaptable and future-ready for the evolving world around them. At camp, STEM comes to life through hands-on exploration that encourages curiosity, creativity and problem-solving. Campers learn how things work, try new ideas, build confidence and have fun as they discover all that’s possible!
