Branksome Hall Uniform Guide
JUNIOR SCHOOL UNIFORM
The Branksome Junior School student uniform for the 2026–27 school year is outlined below. We suggest that all uniform items be labelled with your child's name so they can be returned if misplaced. Numbers in brackets beside each item are suggested quantities.
The Shop

JK—GRADE 2
- BH tunic with black cartwheel shorts (1-2)
- BH button-down blouse (1+)
- BH knee-high green socks (4-6) or tights (3)
- BH cardigan (optional)
Full/bottom options:
- BH tunic (1–2) with black cartwheel shorts (3–4) and with BH knee green socks (4–6) or tights (3)
- BH summer skort (1-2) (September–Thanksgiving Long Weekend & May–June) with BH summer socks (3+)
- Any navy dress pants (1+) (no leggings, jeggings, wide-leg sweatpants, shorts or capris) with navy socks (3–4)
Top options:
- BH polo shirt (2-3)
- BH button-down blouse (1+)
- BH turtleneck (1–2) (optional) must be worn with green quarter-zip (1+) or BH cardigan (1+)
- BH green quarter-zip (1+) or BH cardigan (1+) (optional)
- Plain, all-black no heel leather shoe (must take a shine).
- Plain, all-black leather running shoe (must take a shine); black soles and laces.
Please note: Black shoes cannot have studs, chunky buckles, designs, etc.
GRADEs 3–5
Bottom options:
- BH kilt (1–2) (no more than 3” above the knee) with black cartwheel shorts (3–4) and with BH green knee-high socks (4–6) or tights (3)
- Any navy dress pants (1) (ankle length) (no leggings, jeggings, wide-leg sweatpants, shorts or capris) with navy socks (3–4)
Top:
- BH button-down blouse (1+) with tie (1) and tie pin (1)
- BH cardigan (optional)
Bottom options:

PE Uniform, Swim & Fit Friday
Bottom:
- Cartwheel shorts (students remove their tunic and wear their shorts for PE)
Top:
- Students wear whatever top they are wearing that day
Shoes:
- Any colour running shoes (no light-up or rolling shoes)
Bottom options:
- Junior School BH logo HPE shorts (2+) with casual sport socks
- BH HPE sweatpants (1) with casual sport socks
Top:
- BH PE T-shirt (2+)
- BH PE red hoodie (1)
Shoes:
- Any colour running shoes (no light-up or rolling shoes)
- BH swimsuit (1) or plain one-piece swimsuit
- Swim cap
- Goggles
- Towel
- Branksome gym bag (optional)
Bottom options:
- BH sweatpants or BH shorts with casual sport socks
- Any sweatpants or leggings in black or navy (no other colours, logos or designs) with casual sport socks
Top options - “Branksome on Top”
- Any athletic top purchased from The Shop with the BH crest or name on it: BH HPE T-shirt, Clan T-shirt, Clan hoodie, red HPE hoodie
Shoes:
- Running shoes
Clan Days & Theme Days
Throughout the year there are Clan, Theme and Grub Days. Families will be notified via the Friday File West when these days are approaching.
Clan Days: When the Junior School hosts a Clan event or activity, students are encouraged to wear Clan flair colour that represent their Clan (no make-up).
Theme Days: Theme Days range from wearing your favourite sports team shirt, to dressing up as a book character to wearing a colour that shows support for a cause. Every year, we recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Pink Shirt Day and International Women’s Day. Details regarding attire for these days will be communicated through the weekly newsletter, closer to the date.
Senior and Middle School Uniform
The Branksome Senior and Middle School uniform for the 2026–27 school year is outlined below. Numbers listed are suggested quantities. We strongly recommend that all uniform items (especially shoes) be labelled with your child's name so they can be returned if misplaced.
For acceptable Athletics, Theatre and Dance uniforms, please see the Senior & Middle School Code of Conduct (Portal login required).
The Shop
Items can be purchased from The Shop on campus or from our online shop. If you have any questions, or personal requests for accommodations, please email Erika Lo (Grades 7–8), or Melanie van de Water (Grades 9–12).
Number One Dress Uniform
The Number One Dress Uniform must be worn all day on Mondays (to every class) and to all school ceremonies. It may be worn any other day the student wishes.
- Blazer (sweaters/cardigans may not be worn under the blazer) (1)
- Long-sleeved white button-down BH dress shirt (1+) with tie knotted at the collar (1) and tie pin (1)
- Kilt (no more than 4” above the knee) (1–2), kilt pin (1–2) and green knee socks (pulled up) (4–6) or Navy blue dress pants hemmed to the ankle (1), with navy blue ankle socks (3–4)
- Black shoes (flat, no white trim or laces, leather and must take a shine).
Daily Uniform
Required:
- Polo Shirt (long- or short-sleeved) (2+) or long-sleeved white button-down BH dress shirt with tie knotted at the collar (and tie pin) (1+)
- Kilt (no more than 4” above the knee) (1–2), kilt pin (1–2) and green knee socks (4–6) (pulled up) or Navy blue dress pants hemmed to the ankle (1), with navy blue ankle socks (3–4)
- Black shoes (flat, no studs, chunky buckles, designs, etc., white trim or laces, leather, and must take a shine).
Optional additions:
- BH-crested turtleneck (1–2) with the quarter-zip, sweater or cardigan (see below)
- Clan or Hunting Stewart scarf (purchased from The Shop)
- BH-crested green quarter-zip, v-neck, sweater or cardigan
HPE Uniform, Swim & Fit Friday
During HPE classes only, students are permitted to wear/use:
- Black Branksome HPE T-shirt (required)
- Branksome red hooded sweatshirt (optional)
- Black Branksome HPE shorts, Branksome PE sweatpants, or black athletic pants
- White sport socks
- Athletic running shoes
- Swimwear appropriate for a Physical Education class
On Fridays, students may wear the Fit Friday uniform:
- “Branksome on Top;” Athletic T-shirts and sweatshirts that have the Branksome name and/or crest
- Black or grey athletic pants; Green Tartan Lounge pants
- Sport socks
- Athletic running shoes
- Diploma 2 students may wear their “grad pants” as part of the Fit Friday uniform
- Branksome HPE shorts (or those of similar length) may be worn in September, October, May and June.
Please note: The only acceptable alternative to the Fit Friday uniform is the Branksome uniform.
