Plans & Progress

Branksome Hall started its diversity, equity and inclusion journey in the spring of 2020. Through our dedicated and focused work, we have already made much progress in this crucial area. Since its inception, our DEI work has been at the forefront of everything we do; it is woven into all aspects of our school life. As well, our school community has stepped forward and helped us with purpose and meaningful action.

We have many plans in place to support our important DEI work. From our DEI Audit conducted by Anima Leadership—an external third-party consulting firm—to the DEI Working Group within our school community, we are confident that we will forge ahead to build a better future.

Please see more information about our Action Plan, current audit, DEI Working Group and timeline of activities. As well, our DEI Report Cards provide a detailed look at all of the important work we have completed, as well as what we hope to achieve in the coming years.
LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We wish to acknowledge this land on which Branksome operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and go to school on this land.*

*The Land Acknowledgement may evolve as we honour our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation in partnership with Indigenous communities.

Setting the new standard for girls' education everywhere takes collective action. From all of us.
