Branksome Dance
Get ready to move!
Branksome Hall is excited to launch Branksome Dance for kids this year, a new co-ed dance program led by professional dancers & choreographers Manpreet Singh and Maria Tereshchenko. This program takes place in the evenings and on weekends at Branksome Hall’s Dance Studio and is open to dancers aged 6 to 12, grouped by age.
Each age group will participate in several classes per week, exploring a variety of styles, including Jazz and Hip Hop. Designed to build confidence, coordination and creativity, each session offers students the chance to grow their skills in a fun and supportive environment, whether they’re just starting or looking to take their dancing to the next level.

$550 for the full eight weeks.

Winter Program & Schedule

With a focus on creativity, coordination and confidence, this class is all about movement exploration and self-expression, and is led by Toronto Raptors North Side Crew member, Manpreet Singh, and professional dancer & choreographer Maria Tereshchenko in the Athletics and Wellness Centre Dance Studio.
Classes run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
- Hip Hop: Tuesday from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m.
- Jazz: Thursday from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m.

Instructors
Manpreet Singh Dance Instructor
Manpreet Singh is a creative and expressive Toronto based dancer, choreographer and teacher. He started his dance training at a very young age in India, gaining experience in various dance styles such as Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, Modern and Bollywood.
Pursuing his dream of training internationally, Manpreet moved to Toronto in 2021 and graduated from the Centennial College Dance Program in 2022. During his time at Centennial, Manpreet was exposed to a variety of dance genres that inspired and provided him with skills to become a professional-level artist.
Over the years, Singh has created a name for himself in the dance world in Toronto and currently dances for the Toronto Raptors, as one of the dance captains of the North Side Crew as well as being the first Indian origin dancer on the team. Additionally, his credits include performing for various artists, such as Jonas Brothers, Reve, Jully Black, Kiesza, Haviah Mighty, Shuffle Demons, Keshia Chante, Priyanka, and others.
With four summers at Branksome Camps, Manpreet has extensive experience teaching dance and working with children, fostering creativity, confidence and a love for movement.

MARIA TERESHCENKO Dance Instructor
Maria Tereshchenko is a dynamic Toronto-based dance artist, choreographer and instructor. Her work spans across various styles such as Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop and many more.
Originally from Provino, Russia, Maria began her dance journey with classical ballet and has since has extensively trained in Toronto for over 15 years. Currently, Maria is an active performer and choreographer with various Toronto-based dance companies and has danced in various full-length shows, video projects and showcases such as Fever After Dark, Dance Ontario's Dance Weekend, etc.
In addition to performing, Maria continues to share her passion for movement as an instructor at various Toronto studios. With her background in teaching young students at dance camps and workshops, she has developed a warm, patient and engaging teaching style that makes learning both fun and confidence-building. Maria excels at connecting with children of all ages, fostering creativity, discipline and self-expression in a supportive environment. Her classes emphasize strong fundamentals while encouraging students to explore their individuality and joy of movement.

This co-ed program is open to both Branksome and non-Branksome students, Grades 1 to 6, divided into two groups:
- Grades 1–3
- Grades 4–6
Students will learn Hip Hop and Jazz, giving them a well-rounded and dynamic dance experience.
Classes are led by Manpreet Singh, a professional dancer who is a member of the Toronto Raptors North Side Crew, and professional dancer & choreographer Maria Tereshchenko.
Yes! All classes are scheduled after school hours, making it convenient for students to participate without conflicting with their academic schedule.
Comfortable, flexible clothing suitable for movement is recommended. Dance shoes are encouraged but not required.
Not at all! The program is open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced dancers.
