Introducing the 2025–26 Athletics Council and their favourite memories of the fall season!
Julia G. (Grade 12) - My most memorable moment was during our last game of the Field Hockey season against BSS. Despite losing a tough match, I loved watching the team really come together and play so cohesively. All of the hard work we put in this season truly paid off. I’m proud to have been part of Branksome’s Senior Field Hockey Team and grateful to my teammates for making this season so memorable and fun!
Sarah C. (Grade 12) - My favourite part of Senior Soccer this year was attending the CAIS soccer tournament for the last time. I really enjoyed spending time with the team.
Liesl K. (Grade 11) - My favourite memory from the season was our Flag Football Team trip to Ottawa, where we got to practise on the Redblacks’ field and watch one of their games. The football team truly feels like a year-round community thanks to the extra effort our coaches put into team bonding and social events!
Scarlett H. (Grade 11) - A highlight of mine was our Senior Flag Football game against Holy Name of Mary. After being down 0–7 in the first half, we came together as a team and battled our way to a win.
Annie L. (Grade 10) - My most memorable moment from the fall Rowing season was racing at the Philadelphia regatta. Our boat pushed through the entire course trying to stay ahead of an incredibly fast crew beside us, and every stroke felt like a test of focus and grit. The energy in that race showed me how much we had grown together as a team.
Avery S. (Grade 10) - My most memorable moment from the fall season took place on the Branksome Rowing team when we went to The Head Of the Charles Regatta in Boston. The best part for me was the hugs, high fives and cheers we gave one another after learning our result, as it was a reflection of how we came together as a team and showed up for one another through all the pain, sweat and early mornings.
Lila M. (Grade 9) - A memorable moment for me was when my basketball team had the chance to have a practice with the Senior team. The game stood out because it pushed us through a challenge, but we faced it together and kept a positive attitude the whole time. Not only did we have a lot of fun, but we also learned new skills and gained experience that brought us closer as a team. It was the kind of moment that reminded me how much growth can come from stepping outside our comfort zone.
Augusta M. (Grade 8) - During this fall season, I have made so many memories that I will never forget. One of these moments was when our Soccer team was at the CAIS tournament. We went into a shootout and we won the game. The energy was unmatched, and everyone was pumped.
Charlotte M. (Grade 7) - My most memorable moment was being invited to play in the U14 CAIS soccer tournament. It was a really unique experience, and I enjoyed meeting players from Canada and abroad. The tournament provided a great opportunity to make lots of friends on opposing teams. Branksome placed fifth overall in a close and exciting final, and I hope I will be lucky enough to play again in future years.
Abby M. (Grade 7) - The most memorable moment for me was the U14 CAIS Soccer tournament. Although we did not get a podium finish, we had some of the best games of the whole season. I made so many fun memories with new and old friends, which made this experience much more enjoyable. Although at the end of these three days I returned to the U15 team, this tournament was definitely the highlight of my season!
