Junior School Student Life Programming
Before- and After-School Programs
Before- and After-School Programs are available for JK–Grade 6 students. Before School begins at 7:30 a.m., and After School begins at dismissal until 6:00 p.m. Registration is available on the “Files and Forms” section of the Portal. For occasional use, please contact us to inquire about space availability.
We provide a wide variety of clubs and activities after school. We believe that a balance among Athletics, the arts, technology and general interest is desirable and that each activity should, in some way, extend student learning while promoting camaraderie and fun.

Co-Curriculars
A new schedule of co-curricular activities is provided each term. The number and variety of activities vary by grade level and student interest. Co-curriculars are organized and run by Explore It! with a selection run by Junior School faculty. Fees are charged to cover the cost of materials and instruction.
Students who participate in after-school co-curriculars and/or Athletics should bring a snack to consume before their activity begins. Students do not have access to the AWC for snacks at this time.
Since school involvement is a high priority at Branksome Hall, we hope that students will take the opportunity to join at least one co-curricular activity per term. Registration occurs in advance of each term.
Athletics
More information about Athletics at Branksome Hall, which begins in Grade 4, can be found on the Athletics Program handbook page, as well as on the MyBranksome Portal (login required).
Athletics Program Athletics Portal BoardMusic Conservatory
The Music Conservatory provides private music lessons for Branksome Hall students. Registration is optional and available in the Files and Forms section of the Portal.
Private music teachers connect with families starting in mid-August to build a schedule that starts in mid-September. Please direct questions to conservatory@branksome.on.ca.
Study Hall
Study Hall is available to Grades 4–6 students from their dismissal time until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This is a supervised space for students to work quietly and independently. Students in Grades 4–6 who attend Music Conservatory may use this space to work quietly while waiting for their classes.
Student Well-Being Activity Programming
Every Wednesday morning, students have a late start and begin school at 9:25 a.m., with the supervised drop-off starting at 9:10 a.m. For those families who cannot accommodate the late start, students can still be dropped off between 8:00 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. at the Front Circle for the optional Student Well-Being Activity Programming (SWAP) at no cost. Unfortunately, the SWAP program cannot accommodate late arrivals, so please be sure to drop off at either 8:00 a.m. or 9:10 a.m. Programming will be age- and stage-appropriate and supervised by Branksome employees.
