Headline: Fluent in debate. Bound for biomedical discovery.

Curious by nature and driven by a desire to make a difference, Faith Mitrakos, Class of 2025, has embraced her Branksome Hall journey with curiosity and purpose. This fall, she will attend McGill University to study Biomedical Life Sciences, a field that perfectly aligns with her passion for inquiry and impact.

A dedicated member of Branksome’s Debate and Public Speaking Team since Grade 9, and an executive team member since Grade 10, Faith credits these experiences with helping her find her voice. “They really shaped me into a communicative, confident and articulate person,” she says. “Those skills were fostered by the Branksome community and the incredible opportunities I was given.”

Looking back, what stands out most to Faith is the unwavering support she received throughout her time at Branksome.

I never felt alone in the challenges I faced,” she reflects. “I was constantly uplifted by my teachers, friends and faculty. That kind of support truly shaped my experience.

Now preparing for the next chapter, Faith is eager to channel her lifelong curiosity into a field she loves. “Ever since we were introduced to science in Grade 7, I’ve been hooked,” she says. “Science is inquisitive by nature, just like me. I’m excited to explore it in depth, and hopefully make meaningful change in something bigger than myself.”
