Branksome Hall
Meet Sabrina Seville
- ALUM

From the boathouse to Brown. She’s leading from the front.
From early mornings on the water to leading school assemblies, Sabrina Seville has made the most of every opportunity at Branksome Hall. A dedicated and accomplished coxswain, Sabrina was selected for the Junior National Team for the third consecutive year and was recently named the #1 junior coxswain in Canada, a major honour. She represented Canada at the first-ever International Rowing Challenge in Michigan, where she and her Team Canada crew recently earned silver in the Mixed 8+ A Final, competing against boats from New Zealand, Mexico and the U.S. In total, her team brought home two golds and a silver. This fall, Sabrina will attend Brown University, where she will study History and compete as a recruited coxswain on their NCAA Division I Women’s Rowing Team.
“My time on the Branksome rowing team taught me to use my voice, develop discipline and commitment, and build strong relationships across grade levels,” Sabrina shares. “We became a really tight-knit community from all the time spent working together toward a common goal.”
Equally transformative was her experience as the Admissions and Assemblies Prefect in her Grade 12 year. “That role gave me the chance to collaborate with senior leadership and students across the school. I was able to grow my leadership skills and develop my voice,” she says.
Balancing her academic goals with elite athletics, Sabrina feels prepared for the next chapter.
My time at Branksome, through the community, the teachers and all the different experiences, has really empowered me. I feel confident and ready to make an impact, both in sports or academics.
Sabrina hopes to lead with compassion, both on and off the water.
No matter where I find myself, I want to make way for girls in sports to chase their dreams.
